Sometimes we trying so hard to be nice to certain people. That people always give shit at you back. Their tantrum huh as if we didn’t have any problem at work or else where. I just don’t understand!

Please, do not blame on your faith or keeping saying you just not felling a good mood. But who cares? We are supposed to nice to people but if we are the only who tries…well I would say the relationship (regardless what kind of relationship) is going to the end.

I hope I can avoid being like this. Insya Allah. Praise to God always.

Why Maylyn? I have been tagged by Asyida, why I use Maylyn? Not Alyn or my lame name. Well to be honest I hated my name. Fadzlina was combination of ayah and my step mother. So what do you aspect? Mama wanted Fadzlyana, to honor her grandma’s name Aliah. But what past is past. I wished my name were something artistic or unique. Maybe hrmmm errr ok! I admit that I do not have any preferred name. I just wished my name different.

My family called me either Alyn or Anum. My friends called me Alyn. But here in the new office (even it’s been three months, it still new for me) they called me either Fadzlina or Fadzli. Damn! Fadzli what the heck!

Ok ok ok why Maylyn? My cousin gave birth to her son in 1995; I was 14 at that time. She was the eldest cousin and second in our family to get married. She was 30 that time. None related information I guessed.hihihi. Her son, Adam was 1 or 2 years old, he so talkative. Only god knows. He called all his aunts starting with Ma. So supposed I was Malyn. But he just can’t pronounce Malyn. He keeps saying Maylyn. During school holidays I was baby-sit him. His parent pays good money. (*,*) Futhermore he said my eyes were so small. Gilek as if his not small.

Then as times goes by the entire cousin producing heir, and they followed Adam by calling me Maylyn. I like it very much. I love it. It’s really me. The name suits me well. Do you think so? The name is so energetic, young, and fresh. Fresh? Hahhaha

Well thanks to Adam who gave me the name. So that was how I got the name, Maylyn.

Every where we go, we will see “Save the Earth”, “Reuse”, “Save the energy” blablabla. But do we Malaysians do our part? Hrmmm let me recap, we Malaysian just started I think this year. Why we are so far behind? Now at hypermarkets or supermarkets they encourage us to use our own environment bag or buy from them so that every time we go shopping we just bring the bag and use to carry our purchases.

My Wan (Grandma, Ayah’s mummy) been reuse, recycle ages ago. She had been brought up a different way. Her parent was (erk…banjar+sarawakian+euroasian), she and her sibling well educated in English manner. Even gardenia plastic wrapper she will reuse.

As for me, honestly I WAS couldn’t be bothered to recycle or reuse. But now, I have changed. I have changed to be a better man. Getting older (mature) makes me more wise…(ewahh) I have learned how each of us needs to play a part to save the mother earth not only the government. Even though the part might be small but if added with other doing the same thing, would it be great?

I have started my part. How are about you? These are what currently I’m doing:
1) Minimize plastic bag usage
2) Using environment bag when shopping
3) Turned off lights, fans, (electricity appliances) when ever we are not using it. (Last time my habit was didn’t turned off lights because I am afraid of dark, but now I started to over come the feelings)
4) Used single paper cup when taking hot water at office
5) Err let me think first

See…my contributions are not that much. But I can see changes in the electricity bill… (* ;*) and of course I use recycle paper. I am thinking to buy paper shredder machine, smaller one. So that I can shred the entire confidential letter then send to recycle center. We will see how my budget goes this coming month…

ps : Matrix also reuse/recycle by using used envelope to give the staffs’ salary. Sometime official document to hand to client they use recycle paper (which was I not agreed).
